Ernisha Hall Appointed to GO Virginia Region 6 Council

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ernisha M. Hall Appointed to GO Virginia Region 6 Council

FREDERICKSBURG, VA (July 2025) — The Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce (VABCC) proudly announces the appointment of its President & CEO, Ernisha M. Hall, to the GO Virginia Region 6 Council (Mary Ball Washington Regional Council), which serves the Fredericksburg area, the Northern Neck, and the Middle Peninsula.

The Region 6 Council is part of the state’s GO Virginia initiative, a bipartisan economic development program focused on fostering private-sector growth and regional collaboration. The council administers roughly $1 million annually in project funds to support high-growth industry sectors, including advanced manufacturing, logistics, and professional services.

Hall’s appointment not only highlights her leadership in regional economic development but also complements her current role on the Virginia African American Advisory Board, where she advises the Governor on economic, educational, and cultural initiatives impacting Black communities across the Commonwealth. Her presence on both boards exemplifies her deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and innovation in policy and practice.

As co-founder of the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce and the Virginia Black Chamber Foundation (established in 2020), Hall leads strategic programs that have supported more than 5,000 business owners statewide. These include the Empowering Business Ecosystems (EBE) accelerator, the GovCon Conference, and the annual Business Expo—all aimed at increasing access to capital, strategic growth, and sustainability for Black-owned and disadvantaged businesses across Virginia.

“Ernisha’s voice is essential to advancing equitable economic development across Virginia,” said a spokesperson for the Chamber. “Her work demonstrates what’s possible when bold leadership meets intentional strategy.”

In addition to her chamber roles, Hall serves on the Board of Directors for FAHASS, a regional nonprofit health organization committed to wellness and care for underserved communities.

Hall holds a BA in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College, dual Master’s degrees in Business and Social Work, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Entrepreneurship at Walden University.

“This appointment allows me to further our mission of creating access, opportunity, and investment in the communities that need it most,” said Hall. “I’m honored to join the Region 6 Council and contribute to advancing Virginia’s economic future through collaborative, inclusive growth.”
